Toni Morrison’s Fiction

Instructor: Phil Weinstein, Published Author & Professor

Explore Morrison’s major work, beginning with an early masterpiece, Sula (1973), going on to her supreme work, Beloved (1987), and finishing with her recent brief novel, Home (2013).  Morrison is arguably the most significant American novelist now writing, and Beloved is a stunning exploration, fictionally, of our country’s foundational nightmare, slavery.

Learn basic techniques, composition and editing skills. Practice when and how to use analogies and metaphors as descriptive devices.
