This is a 40 hour course leading to EMR certification. Combining practical and didactic training with a strong emphasis on the practical, topics include: Healthcare Provider CPR, legal issues, anatomy, medical, trauma and environmental emergencies, EMS operations and practical skill essentials.

Alan Ganapol is a highly experienced emergency medical practitioner (NREMT) and educator. Alan has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in engineering and is a certified EMT Instructor/Coordinator. In addition he is a certified instructor for the American Heart Association, American Red Cross and the Emergency Care and Safety Institute. He has trained hundreds of people in the essential life saving skills of CPR, First Aid, Wilderness First Aid, Emergency Medical Response and Stop the Bleed. He also runs courses to train people to be CPR and First Aid instructors. He has been an EMT for the Martha’s Vineyard Tri-Town Ambulance Squad since 2009.
