FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
How is the HiSET different from the GED exam?
Both have the exact same outcome: once you pass all tests, you will have the equivalent of a high school diploma. See the complete comparisons here.
Do I have to take a prep course to take the HiSET?
No, but you are more likely to pass if you take a prep course!
What are the requirements to take the HiSET?
See all requirements at the HiSet official website.
How much does it cost to take the test?
See up-to-date pricing at the HiSet official website.
How much is ACE MV’s HiSET prep course?
Tuition is $200, but $100 is refunded upon successful completion of the course.
I can’t afford this, are there scholarships available?
Please call 508-693-9222 to find out more about financial aid for the HiSET prep.
How does ACE MV’s HiSET prep course work?
First, our teachers evaluate your level with exercises and practice tests. Then, they tutor you in small groups to get you ready for the HiSET’s five subset tests. They also help you sign up for the tests. You are free to take the subtests all at once, or individually when you feel you are ready for each one.
Where does this all happen?
At the moment, we are looking to offer classes online instead of in person.
You say you have “rolling admissions” – does that mean I can start taking the class at any time?
If a class is not full (full = 7-9 students) we do let students join in up until the half point of each semester (mid-October and mid-Februrary), but after that we recommend starting in the following semester. However, it never hurts to call and ask! 508-693-9222.
