Dates: Mar 26; Apr 2, 9, 16, 30; May 7, 14, 21
Students will learn tangible skills:
- Basic accounting terminology and principles
- Setting up vendor and customer accounts
- Creating invoices and receiving payments
- Managing bank and credit card accounts, including reconciliations
- Entering employees, tracking employee time, and processing payroll
This hands-on course uses a sample company file to enable students to immediately apply what they’ve learned.
Upon completion, students will have a basic understanding of: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and banking, and how these function in QuickBooks.
TECHNICAL LEVEL: This class uses the PC version of QuickBooks. Students who take this course should be comfortable working with a PC.
Note: Students will be assigned a PC the first day of class and are asked not to bring personal or work computers to class. To gain the most from this course, students are strongly encouraged to attend all sessions.
About the instructor
Linda Habekost is an experienced bookkeeper and has worked for private, municipal, and non-profit organizations for more than 20 years. Her areas of expertise include payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. She has also mentored numerous individuals seeking assistance in QuickBooks and in general bookkeeping practices.
