About the instructor

Lisa Foster is a certified business coach specializing in leadership development and emotional intelligence. She works with clients who are first-time job seekers, first-time managers, and seasoned professionals who want to become more effective leaders or change career paths. Her ideal client is someone reaching for an aspirational goal and willing to self-reflect and change to achieve success.

Like many others, she has zig-zagged her way through her career. She started with a Ph.D. in English, and spent 10 years teaching and inspiring students to love literature and write persuasively.

In 2005, driven by her passion for the environment, Lisa started a company to sell and promote reusable bags in the US. In business, she built on the skills that had helped her succeed in teaching. Over the next 12 years, she became one of the top suppliers of reusable bags in the US and a pioneer in the fight against single-use plastic.

After selling the company, Lisa wanted to empower others to believe that they, too, could transcend expectations and beat their odds. So she became a business coach.
